This Privacy Policy explains how QU3 collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use qu3.live. QU3 is a social music discovery and shared-listening service and uses YouTube API Services.
Information QU3 collects
- Account information: email address, username, display name, profile image, account identifier, and authentication information needed to operate your account.
- QU3 activity: rooms you create or join, queue activity, chat messages, reactions, grabs, votes, profile statistics, achievements, and related social or moderation data.
- Playback and room state: video identifiers, titles, thumbnails, queue state, playback timing, and other information needed to synchronize shared rooms.
- Search information: search terms submitted through QU3 and YouTube API search results. QU3 may cache search results and maintain a shared song library to reduce unnecessary YouTube API requests. Cached search terms are not intended to be used to build individual viewing profiles.
- Technical information: information reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, which may include browser/device information, network information, logs, and local browser storage.
How QU3 uses information
QU3 uses this information to create and authenticate accounts; operate party rooms, queues, chat, profiles, moderation, reactions and achievements; synchronize playback; provide video search; prevent spam, abuse and excessive API use; troubleshoot and secure the service; and maintain and improve QU3.
YouTube API Services
QU3 uses YouTube API Services to search for YouTube videos and uses the YouTube embedded player for playback. By using QU3, you acknowledge that YouTube and Google may receive information in connection with your use of YouTube features according to their own policies. QU3 does not ask for or store your YouTube password or YouTube login credentials.

Service providers and sharing
QU3 uses third-party infrastructure and services to operate the application, including YouTube/Google for YouTube API Services and embedded playback, Supabase for application database/authentication services, and Cloudflare for website delivery and hosting infrastructure. Information may be processed by these providers as necessary to provide their services. QU3 may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate security or abuse investigation. QU3 does not sell users' personal information.
Cookies and local storage
QU3 and its service providers may use cookies, browser storage, authentication tokens, or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember application state, provide embedded YouTube functionality, protect the service, and operate core features. YouTube's embedded services may use their own cookies or similar technologies subject to Google's policies.
Data retention and deletion
QU3 retains account and service data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security and integrity, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Some shared-room or moderation records may remain for a limited period after they are no longer actively displayed. Users may request deletion of their QU3 account and associated personal data through the account controls made available by QU3. Data that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or legitimate recordkeeping may be retained only as permitted by applicable law.
Google/YouTube authorization
QU3's current video-search experience does not require users to connect a YouTube account or grant QU3 OAuth access to their private YouTube account data. If QU3 later introduces features that request such authorization, this policy and the relevant consent screens will be updated before those features are used. Users who authorize Google access can review or revoke connected-app permissions through Google's security settings.
Children
QU3 is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Users must satisfy any minimum-age requirements stated in the QU3 Terms of Use and applicable platform terms.
